Plaza Doctor Arce is one of those squares where neighbours still greet each other by name. Malía has been part of it since 1999.

The church, the fountain, the shade of the orange trees, the swallows in summer. The square sits in the heart of Estepona's old town, beside the pedestrian axis of Calle Terraza and a step away from Plaza de las Flores. The beach is a two-minute walk.

The old town is pedestrian — and better for it. If you come by car, there are several public car parks a few minutes' walk away. Then it's just a matter of arriving, picking a table on the terrace, and letting the square do the rest.
